CrimBytes began as a student podcast on crime, media, and culture featuring episodes written and produced by Criminology and Criminal Justice students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Inspired by the tradition of "Newsmaking Criminology," or the conscious efforts of criminologists to contribute to the production of "newsworthy" conversations on crime and justice, it has since expanded into a space for multimedia exploration of crime, culture, and justice.
CrimBytes is curated by Dr. Maya Barak, Assistant Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UM-Dearborn (learn more about her teaching and research here).
